...anyone remember a cartoon called "The Blue Racer"? I assume it was a short-lived 60's Hanna-Barbara something-or-other, but they showed it on the American station in Germany in the 70's. It was literally about a blue racer - the snake. I loved it, because it was a positive portrayal of a snake, and I've always loved snakes - but that's about all I can remember about it.
Other obscurre stuff they showed on the American station during those days (we got an hour of cartoons from 9-10 AM Saturday and Sunday mornings) were: The Dogfather, The Hillbilly Bears, Huckleberry Hound, Deputy Dog, Jabberjaw, Captain Caveman, Thor, The Hulk, Kum-Kum, and something that I think was called Mr. Shark. There was an ongoing sci-fi program whose name I don't recall, but it was about a kid living with his family around Mars orbit. A bunch of others that I'm sure I'm forgetting. And a neat live-action series called "The Lost Islands," whose villain was named "the Q." Had a cool theme song, too.
Ring any bells?
