Drinking homemade 'Absinthe'...

So I found myself with an ounce of Wormwood resin (Artemisia absinthum), and I thought, 'why not?' I put about half of it in a bottle of cheap vodka with some whole cloves and nutmeg and let it steep for four days. It soon took on a carmel hue, about like rum.

I've had a small sample. Not a bad drink, though it's not true absinthe. Still, there is a certain chemical haze beyond the alcohol. I feel as though I could channel Andy Kaufman as the Second Coming and take it as the gospel truth. That probably doesn't make any sense (!!!). But it makes perfect sense to me right now (!!!).

It reminds me of the true mezcal, which I used to drink with great relish. Psychoactive is the word. Time to put on some Bob Marley. If only I had a spliff...

I ordered some herbs for lucid dreaming from http://www.iamshaman.com . I spent about $80 and they threw in the wormwood as a gift. You can buy an ounce of it for about $5.

Quality products and good service. I recommend them. But research your purchases on erowid.com first. Their 'Morphing Blend' has Salvia Divinorum in it, and they don't exactly make that clear when ordering.
