What kind of bike do you own?
I just bought a Bianchi "Boardwalk" I haven't even ridden it yet, but it is sa-weet. Hybrid, with no suspension. Not going to be doing any single track, most of my riding is on paved surfaces and secondary dirt roads. This bike is perfect for the C&O canal towpath. Can't wait.

5. I had a GT Avalanche mountain bike
It was beautiful, until it was stolen from my apartment storage unit. The theft kind of spooked me, so I haven't bought another one.

7. Just got a bike myself.
I'm heading to 60 and overweight. My doctor took the time (20 min. plus) to just try to brainstorm what kind of exercise would work for me. I really appreciated that.

I made an investment in a "comfort" bike to use on our hike and bike trails. It always looks great to me. I'll have to build up some stamina, but I've done it every day since.

I have a Specialized Crossroads. So far I like it.

15. Indeed, I'm not knocking motorcycles
I was in the Black Hills this past summer during the rally and there were supposed to be 500,000 bikers there. Hill City had bikes lined up both sides of the street for at least a mile.

11. TREK Fuel dual suspension Mountain Bike
Single track baby...That's where it's at!

but seriously... biking is a great cardiac workout, and easy on the knees for those of us getting up there. Also in the woods, alone, away from it all, there's a sense of child-like freedom.

25. Love Moab...
was there a few years back. Also went to Fruita,Gunnison and Crested Butte and road the trails. Had hoped to make it to Sedona, but wasn't enough time to do it all. We plan on retiring in 3 years and moving out to the Moab area.

20. I have a ten-year old Raleigh that I just took in today
to get the works: tune-up, tires and tubes, chain, new seat, and grips, and a helmet for me. It cost about $185 but it was about $450 new so I thought it was worth it.

Lance Armstrong, move over!

21. This one:

Not exactly, but I did the same as the guy who owned this Raliegh Superbe; updated it for use as a 4-season city bike. Bought it for 25 bucks at a thrift store..

22. nice-- generator front hub and multispeed rear?
I think the only thing I'd change is the platform pedals-- I just can't ever go back. That is one pretty bicycle.

24. It's beautiful, isn't it?
After I cleaned mine, replaced the cable and tires, and oiled everything up, it worked like a dream. I used to be a Gary Fisher bike worshipper, but this is the sweetest (and coolest) functionable bike I've ever had, especially for winter..

26. Gary Fisher Sugar
She's about 3 years old now. I ride singletrack in Florida, mostly pine flatwoods type of terrain. I've broken the frame once, but GF replaced it. Typical dual suspension set-up, Cane Creek, Manitou, etc.

I ride platforms rather than clips, as I like the ability to swivel more in turns. My gummy Vans haven't let me down yet, but I probably should use shin protection.
