mixed up stupid question for y'all
Why is gas so high again?
If its peak "oil" then is it peak "gas" too?
or is it to some extent gas is oil...

I'm having one of those 2am sleepy questions here.

2. Gasoline is derived from crude oil, so maybe.
It could be just the oil cartels yanking our chains.

5. For the purposes of our discussion, yes.
Gas is refined crude oil. So when the price of crude oil goes up we see it at the pump.

8. I think it is because
there are only a few people who own all of the oil reserves, drilling stations, etc. I think they call OPEC a cartel or something for a reason. They have it all and they can charge what they damn well please unfortunately. I mean why do we have antitrust laws if no one enforces them? Shouldn't rich liberals buy enough stock in oil to control when they cut down production and when they pump it up so they prices go down? Oh, I forgot, we want a better alternative, but can't seem to find it yet, unfortunately. Damn the repugs and their rich oil buddies in Saudi Arabia, etc. I hate this era with such a passion. Wake me when it's over.
