Sony PSP

I'm not going to buy one next week, and probably not for another 3-4 months, BUT..I do admit it does look like a nice handheld game system :-) Now watching movies on it--I'll have to see it in action, in person. I really like the idea of using the wifi feature to play other PSP owners wirelessly--the main game I would want is GT 4. For now, I'll just wait, see what quality issues pop up, and be patient. Has anyone here in DU pred-ordered one?

for his birthday when he turns 13 in May. Then I saw the price and thought, nope wait until Christmas. The price should drop some by then. I hope.

and the head of the Playstation divison is not exactly sorry about this issue with the buttons not working...his reasonng makes him look like a prick to me :argh:

On a somewhat related note, I used to work at Sony. That attitude pretty much sums up the whole company. We are Sony. We don't make mistakes. It's very Bush-esque.

"The most beautiful thing in the world"???? This guy needs to get out more. It's not a majestic piece of construction: it's a hanheld game system that doesn't work properly. A .6 percent failture rate isn't that much, but their unapologetic stance really pisses me off. And people wonder why I don't have a PS2: this is the reason. I don't like their coroporate policy of caveat emptor.

Kutaragi comes out and basically pisses on all the PSP owners. Yeah we designed it that way, so it's a feature, not a bug! And IMHO, the iPod looks much better than the PSP.

He has no games yet, but he loves it so far.
