my free pop-up stopper has been sucking lately, need a new one

I have the free edition of something from the panicware website. It worked well for several months, but lately (the past week or so) it has really been sucking. I checked for updates, but nothing came up online.

Can somebody suggest another good free one?

2. Hrm...no suggestions, but

I did notice that in the past week, both Opera and Mozilla have been getting pop-ups, which wasn't happening before that. I think someone has come up with a new way 'in', so to speak. Urgh.

6. i've noticed that as well

i guess i'm glad that it's not just me. it had me nervous for a while, i've never experienced pop ups using firefox until maybe the past week or so. it's still pretty rare, but not quite as good as never, like before. i wonder what happened?

Open up your system clock and reset the date to something several years into the future. Refresh your browser. Reset your system clock to today's date. Voila! No more popups at DU.

You know, I wouldn't object if the popups were for something worthwhile, but the ones I was seeing were of the "Click Here To Win A New iPod (yeah, right) And Get Spammed A Lot." and the "Buy Our Anti-Aging Garbage That Doesn't Work" variety. Definitely not in keeping with DU's core principles, IMO.

7. I keep getting

I keep getting "You are the 1,000,000th visitor to this site" and the Pain in the Ass thing is that it's always way in the corner, so I have to drag it into the middle of my screen to get the X in the upper corner.
