Need Some Major Career Advice
Currently, I'm working as a Database Analyst in the legal industry. My goal is to work as an IT/Finance professional in Europe. Here's what I have:

- an MBA in Finance
- an Oracle 9i OCA (I will have my complete Oracle 91 OCP by the end of the year.)
- I have a certificate in Java programming
- I will have a certificate in SQL Server and VB.net by the end of the year.

I have the ability to take additional courses at night, but what more should I study? I know that I have to leave the legal industry, but where should I look for work?

1. Language Immersion Seminars?
Unless you're going to England. I'm assuming, of course, you're not fluent in another european language.

2. Next year, I'm Taking German and French
I should also point out that my timetable for relocating will be 2007 or 2008.

3. I'd Still Look Into Immersion
You might be able to call it a vacation. Go to an immersion seminar for 10 days in Montreal. Zero english! Zero. All TV, Radio, newspapers, mags, and speech in one language.

A family friend did it in college, while studying French. When she got home, she could THINK in French. If someone said something to her, the mental image went with both the French and English word.(Admittedly, she went for the 6 week program.) But, she said she never translated again. She simply UNDERSTOOD French.

I know the difference, because my dad thought in italian when he spoke or read it. I have to translate each word separately. I'm good at it, but i sure can't think in italian. If you're planning on living, and working over there, it might be wise to take that plunge.
