I've been using it for "freeze dance" music for my younger classes this week, and I love it more every time. Dolenz's vocals are spot-on, and the whole band seems inspired (probably because they were doing it all on their own). Even Davy's inability to keep up the tambourine playing is cool. :)

4. Different song entirely
The Monkees tune is basically a ripoff of CCR's "Travelin Band".

8. Ah, but No TIme was released first
so perhaps CCR ripped them off?

3. I'll admit this
I like a lot of the Monkees' tunes. No Time is a good song.

5. You're right...
The Monkees had a lot of good songs - my personal favorite has always been "Pleasant Valley Sunday" - but there were many, many more.

9. Probably their hardest rocking song
They had many good ones. My personal favorite is Randy Scouse Git, released in UK under the alternate title Alternate Title.

10. Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones, Ltd.
As I mentioned, "Pleasant Valley Sunday" is probably my favorite Monkee's song, and its on what most people consider to be their best album...Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones.

By the way, has anyone ever seen their movie "Head"?? I've only seen bits and pieces.

11. "Head" is a strange little film, but it's got some classic tunes in it...
Specifically, "Porpoise Song" and "Circle Sky" (and to a lesser extent, "Can You Dig It"). Plus, Frank Zappa is in it, so it must be good.
