Oh, and Chrstimas CDs, huh? What are some good ones? I tried to put together some compilations this year. My favorite new addition was Yellowman: A Very, Very Yellow Christmas, which was fantastic!

Seriously, Christmas is my largest music category. I went cold turkey last year and wouldn't let myself buy any Xmas music.

50. You should get this Yellowman album
It's hilarious!

I'm trying to get a collection of "traditional" carols and songs that are uptempo but not cheesey - Stuff my 2 year old will like, but not "mickey mouse" style production. There are a couple "A very special Christmas Vol X" compiliations that have good songs, like Willie Nelson singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer", etc.

Anyway, I think I'm straying from the topic here, which is odd considering what it is.

And it is a cute bra, even if it's missing the not-specific-enough request for a model in addtition to the bra itself.

4. YES!
I used to work with a chick at Half Price Books a few years ago who refused to wear one.

I'm sorry, but when you got free-swinging udders at work, it is gross to have to look at. It's unprofessional, and I don't wanna see it!

If you wanna go without at home, fine. No skin off my back. But out in public, if you're more than an A cup, DON'T GO THERE!

I'm a woman. I think breasts are great. I adore mine.

I just think that bras are a good thing. Sorry. That's one liberal stereotype (burning the bra, going without a la the 60s) I can't subscribe to.

I'm a 36C. I look ridiculous without one.

I have very rarely gone braless, while my stepsister (same age and size) hates bras. If she were to go topless, she'd look like an exotic native from a warm climate in National Geographic. By contrast, gravity has yet to effect me. ;-)

Never could pass the pencil test but these days, with age and too many pounds I might manage it. Since I work at home I don't bother. If I'm going out and want to look nice I drag one out.

And if you don't like the look ... DON'T LOOK. Do we insist you wear a cup?: bah. The older I get the less patience I have.

31. The pencil test is whether or not you can hold...
...a guy's "pencil" between them without squeezing them! LOL.

No seriously, it is whether or not you can place a pencil under one, and have the pencil fall (meaning the breast does not sag enough to hold it there).

I know that...and I'M A GUY! What do I win???

21. Depends on How You Want to Look When You're 40
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 01:02 PM by Crisco
I had a 3-4 year period in late teens/early 20s where I went without most of the time. For the past several (maybe 10?) it comes off the minute I walk through the door at home.

Result? Sans bra, I'm getting that 'church lady' look you normally see on women much older.

If good, pretty, non-underwire bras existed for C-cups 20 years ago, I'd have worn one. Bali has some nice ones now.

And looking like a teenager again! When it became time to get a new one, I dreaded the prospect of going from store to store to see if I could find one. So I punched the bra's name and model number onto the Internet, and wound up with more online lingerie stores than I knew what to do with. Woe unto them if they discontinue it!

63. Yes! You'll get "Coopers Droop". As my ex MIL would say.
Who is this "Cooper" and did this person have the "Droop", or just named it?

73. Cooper's Ligaments Society - We Support Breasts!
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 03:13 PM by kwassa
The Cooper's Ligaments are the tissue that supports the breasts, or allows them to sag. They are not affected by exercise.

http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSIHW000/23741/24783/297895.html?d=dmtContent

"The breast tissue found just underneath the surface of the skin is very elastic and can change in size as the glands expand. However, Cooper's ligaments, which are the fibrous tissues that serve as an anchor and provide support, do not share this quality of elasticity. The elastic tissues can expand and contract, whereas Cooper's ligaments will stretch out but not get back to their original length."

Cooper's Ligaments Society is a fictional group started by myself and a female friend who was my running partner. We used to discuss other female runners at the local track who were, um, insufficiently supported as they ran. My partner was big enough that she wore two sports bras, one on top of the other. I proposed offering the service through our Society of running behind the insufficiently supported women and supporting those needy ones with my own two hands! An idea that never came to fruition, however.

67. Yes, if you're a large-chested woman
If you're a D-cup, it's a necessity. It gets painful to go without one for very long, and of course, you start drooping.

69. Yes--and btw, sagging comes from pregnancy....
doesn't it?

Before pregnancy, mine could stand alone (uncomfortably, I thank whoever invented the bra actually). After pregnancy, EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I believe Kate Winslet calls them "dog ears".

I have a bra on every minute of the day unless I'm ill.

102. Sagging Comes From Sagging
You don't need to get pregnant. We all sag, eventually.

71. I'm a 36C+. My answer is a resounding 'yes'
And honey? If your bra hurts, you don't have the right one!

A properly fitted bra can be a joy to wear. I read somewhere that a huge proportion of women are wearing bras that simply don't fit!

Go to a nice department store and get yourself measured by a pro. Then buy one or two really good bras. Trust me, you'll notice the difference immediately.

74. Question: Is a C+ larger or smaller than a C?
Sorry if that sounds like a crude question, I don't mean it that way, I've just always wanted to konw what you call something say between a B and a C. Is that a B- or a B+? Grade wise I'd say B-, right? Because it's closer to a C.

Sorry, it must sound like a stupid question!

106. I would kill to be a 36 C again.... I buy 38 DDD non underwires
with padded shoulders at Dillard's...it is their house brand lingerie and actually is the most comfortable I can find, and the most affordable. I actually would probably be more comfortable in a 36 DDDD but they are very hard to find.

I have a small rib cage and a lot of heavy stuff hanging on to it.

75. When I Was Younger
Bra's didn't mean much. But after kids and being 34. The cleavage isn't as "perky" as it was 10 years ago. I wear a bra for myself. I still have great cleavage.....with some minor support. LOL.

77. Yup.
34C here. I don't think I've left the house without one since I was 13 years old -- and I don't think I would unless the house was on fire.

It's a lot more uncomfortable, even painful, to go without than it is to wear one. And I don't mind underwires a bit (except when the bra's starting to wear out and the wire pokes through. That's bad), almost all of mine are.

82. For me they are
I have fairly substantial bosoms and I tend to prefer the perky look over the non-perky look when presenting myself to the world. One has to earn the privilege to view them in a less-perky form. :D

Of course, I've nursed three young'uns so it's understandable. Back in the day, BC, I didn't need one and rarely wore one. :-)

89. Yes, my stepmother bought me one when it was necessary
I was in sixth grade and a B cup. I hated wearing a bra, but I was being made fun of and my breasts bounced on the play ground.
Now I am uncomfortable without one if I am going to being doing anything remotely active. Underwires hurt, but I am starting to get a little saggy and that would probably hurt. The other alternative that works somewhat for me is tightened sturdy shoulder straps to hold them up. I am a C cup now, but had gotten up to a D when I was a little bit heavier.

In summer, with skimpkier clothes, I go with. Borderline A-B.

They TOTALLY SUCK. After having babies and dealing with nursing, I realized how horrible they were. Plus I'm smaller post-baby. :-(

100.  I do know a few guys who would need TWO sets of underwires
To support their bosoms and their beer guts. I dread seeing them during summer heatwaves, because -- curse our town's overly-permissive bylaws -- they can waddle around with their shirts off and all of that hanging out, and nobody can stop them.
