2. Actually, their mullets get worse than that.
I just don't want to link to the pictures because they're on blogs and what-not. But if you do a Google image search on their names, you will find that they all had obvious mullets at one point or another, and Ringo had a permed mullet as well.

6. Business in the front, party in the back.
I don't know how it could be any clearer of a mullet.

17. I agree with you
The definition of mullet is totally out of control. One of the abosolute requirements of a mullet is that the front is so short that the ears are totally visible. The way it is now, any guy with shaggy to long hair is accused of having a mullet.

3. OOOOOkay....
From Answers.com:

"April 4 - The Beatles occupied all five top positions on Billboard's Top Pop Singles chart with their singles "Can't Buy Me Love", "Twist and Shout", "She Loves You", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", and "Please Please Me"."

#1 hits from Oasis? Multiple song in the charts at one time?

*Crickets chirping*

Score one for the Liverpudlian Lads...

4. Back then, the charts may have been manipulated.
In the late eighties or early nineties or something, a lot of country music artists exploded on the charts, as well as what people called "alternative music", because the charts were made more reflective of popularity. That hadn't happened yet in 1964.

8. Maybe they are manipulated by rock establishment traditionalists.
Maybe they are trying diminish Oasis with their feeble charts.

14. OK, so that wasn't the best picture of Paul to choose.
Paul's haircut is not that bad on the cover of the McCartney II album, and is the shaggy British-rocker style that Mick Jagger also had. But there are other pictures where Paul McCartney has more of a MULLET, and if you do a Google image search you will find out what I mean.

18. Both Paul and Linda...
...charged head first into mulletdom somewhere in the late 70's. Especially Linda, who was wearing a bizarre Bowie inspired 'do that looked terrible on her.

This is not just bangs in the front being short, like Liam Gallagher; this is a MULLET.

20. Damn - talk about your bad hair decade....
And that woman's hair....she didn't just tease it, she made it mad.

I can't help but wonder what the poor little dweeb photographer at J.C. Penny's thought when this nuclear (as in radioactive waste) family came in for the discount wallet size.

21. The pic of Lennon was taken the day he died by Annie Leibovitz...
...and it's actually a "Teddy Boy" style (much like John wore before the Beatle moptop).

Ringo's, on the other hand, is a pretty classic-looking mullet.
