20. Ah, so in other words, you've learned to take everything you read
and automatically assume it's bullshit and that if you believe the exact opposite, you'll be okay :). . . . that does work much of the time, but you've got to learn which of us you can trust :P

24. Depends on where in town you are.
In the downtown area, it's pretty much all underground. As you get out towards the edges, it's all above ground.

The commuter rail (out by my place) is all above ground.

35. You'll be find most of the time, other than when you're in Boston proper.
Once you get to Cambridge area you're above ground. Same with the area out by BU. Anywhere outside of downtown is pretty much above ground and your phone will work.

15. Yes, a cat will come when it's called
if it wants to.

It knows it's being called, whether it comes depends on whether it believes it will get something worthwhile out of it.

Whereas dogs...will come for no reason whatsoever.

I voted CATS! Cats are great! :D

28. at least dogs are sane. You grant that?
"Alice didn't think that proved it at all; however, she went on `And how do you know that you're mad?'

`To begin with,' said the Cat, `a dog's not mad. You grant that?'

`I suppose so,' said Alice.

`Well, then,' the Cat went on, `you see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad.'

`I call it purring, not growling,' said Alice. "

30. DOGS!!
No one ever heard of a "yellow cat" democrat.

I've lived with both. My family had a dog when I was growing up, and I had a roommate with a cat. I hated cats when I moved in with him, but she grew on me, once I took the time to learn about cat behavior. We had a neighbor with 3 cats and a dog, and the dog LOVED me because I understood it (while she treated it like she would a cat). She believed in reincarnation and swore that I'd been a dog in at least one past life.

I can be fond of a cat, but I bond with dogs. Not to mention that I developed a physical allergy to cats from living with one, so it's DOGS, paws down!!

37. Dog-loving teacher gave my son an A+ on his essay:
There are very many differences between cats and dogs.

First of all, dogs care. If the house is on fire, cats will sneak out the back door. Dogs will bark and try to wake you up

Next, cats won't listen. If you talk, dogs will tilt their heads and try to understand you. Cats will scatch you or pee on your leg.

Finally, dogs are cute. They sleep with you, go in cute possitions, and cuddle up. All cats do is pee on your floor, drop dead mice in your slippers, and eat. Oh, yeah, also the annoying "Reowww!!!"

Obviously, dogs are way better than cats.

45. That's odd.
I guess the cat who's been cuddled up on my lap all afternoon didn't get that memo about how cold, sly and uncaring he is.

And I call bullsh*t. If cats were really such nasty creatures, they -- all 70 million of them -- wouldn't be such dearly loved pets, would they?

46. No other species understands humans as much as dogs
They evolved alongside us. They are the only species that can understand our hand jestures such as pointing. You point at a stick and a monkey will look at your finger. A dog will follow your your finger and get the stick.

A cat is fine. But a dog is really part of the family. They do not distinguish between dog and human. They consider us one of them and them one of us.

47. no contest, cats win in my house,
I had dogs growing up and in my adult life have had one dog. I enjoy other people's dogs and I ooh and ahh over cute puppies and doggies in the park and thepet store, etc.

But for living in my house it has to be a cat. I love purring, soft, cuddly sleeping kitties in my lap, on my bed, next to me on the sofa.
Playing with stupid stuff like toiletpaper rolls, milk rings, zip strips from the grated cheese envelopes, old mardigras beads.

and mine do look at me very intelligently when I speak to them. They each respond individually to their names. Two of them are quite conversational.

Even my old cat will suddenly take a notion to sneak up on one of the others and do a surprise kamikaze kitty attack.

I like to watch them walk, and stalk things .

I love to hear them purr.....think it is time to let my boys in for the night, I expect they are ready now.
