i can tell you know exactly what i mean! if i ask to go out to get a drink, they always want to go to some cheap "dive bar" and meet all of their buddies there too. and then when you get home, they sit there on the couch scratching themselves watching NCAA or football, and then come into the bedroom smelling of stale beer and expect us to want to sleep with them? it's just too much! :cry: they never want to have talks about the status of our relationship, and they're always being so practical about how we spend our money; they never want to spend it on anything romantic and reasonable like diamonds or flowers. it's a cruel, cruel world...

I said hi honey and kissed her, and then I started to get out the five-course dinner I had kept warm while she went into the bathroom. But then she barged out of the bathroom yelling

THE HORROR! i got my hair cut two weeks ago, and she hasn't even said a word; i just know she hates it :cry: and, whenever i ask her if my butt looks big in a pair of jeans, she changes the subject :( i tried to tell her that we should go to counseling and seek some help, but she says this is all normal and i should stop being such a hopeless romantic. i guess i just wasn't cut out to be a househusband after all :cry:

He was a super smart eccentric who used to like to get stoned an putter around his place. So when I was first seeing him, I was watching him do his routine. He was moving in and out of the various rooms, moving stuff around, and tidying up somewhat compulsively, and he walked passed me. Then stopped dead in his tracks and said, "I'm sorry. Do you want me to sit next to you and ask you questions about yourself. . .?"

Really cracked me up that he would think that's all women really want. Might be an element of truth to it.

he was a neat freak and super organized. Just was really fond of his stuff. He had lots of antiques, Oriental art and some really cool curios. Funnily enough now he's teaching in NYC and subletting a place so get this. . .all his stuff's in storage or in his cabin in N.H.
