A song for Terri Schiavo
I Can't Remember Anything
Can't Tell If this Is True or Dream
Deep down Inside I Feel to Scream
this Terrible Silence Stops Me

Now That the War Is Through with Me
I'm Waking up I Can Not See
That There Is Not Much Left of Me
Nothing Is Real but Pain Now

Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
Oh Please God,wake Me

Back in the Womb its Much Too Real
in Pumps Life That I must Feel
but Can't Look Forward to Reveal
Look to the Time When I'll Live

Fed Through the Tube That Sticks in Me
Just like a Wartime Novelty
Tied to Machines That Make Me Be
Cut this Life off from Me

Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
Oh Please God,wake Me
Now the World Is Gone I'm Just One
Oh God,help Me Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
Oh Please God Help Me

Darkness Imprisoning Me
All That I See
Absolute Horror
I Cannot Live
I Cannot Die
Trapped in Myself
Body My Holding Cell

Landmine Has Taken My Sight
Taken My Speech
Taken My Hearing
Taken My Arms
Taken My Legs
Taken My Soul
Left Me with Life in Hell

And her parents should be mailed a copy of "Johnny Got his Gun" - a very powerful movie about being unable to communicate indeed

1. the movie you mention I have been wanting to see.
I will read the book too eventually. It's written by a guy famous for being blacklisted during the Red Scare. Dalton Trumbo.

3. It's a very moving movie
I worked at a video store when Justice for All came out, and it was the hardest movie to find for miles, I finally snagged a copy and was floored. I still signed up for the Marines, so I guess I wasn't ~that~ floored, but it gave me a reason to pause and think about things. That's when I opted to drive a tank. Then they sent me to Amphibious Tank school, where our combat life expectancy was 17 seconds. Learned me a lesson, I sure done did :silly:

The Metallica song is called "One"
The CD it is on is called "And justice for all"
The movie that "One" is based on is called "Johnny got his gun".

It's an old movie, shot in black and white, most likely in the Classics or Cult sections.

2. "He eats through a tube. And whatever comes in through a tube has to go
out through a tube. He is the armless, legless wonder of the twentieth century. And yet, by God, he's just as alive as you and me."
