These words read like the output of a moderately talented eight-year old with a limited-at-best grasp of both human relationships and hip slang. They are NOT the words of a deserving multi-platinum musician.

Elton John, bless his heart, realized early on in his career that his own wordsmithery was weak, and hired a true goofball, Bernie Taupin, to handle those chores; the fact that Taupin's soggy poesy was trite was at least hidden by a superficial ovberlay of a imagery and now-quaint zeitgeist-harnessing of current slang-totems (Jesus Freaks, seamstresses for the band, crocodile rock, etc.)
