Bono is a pompous jackass.
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 11:11 PM by JimmyJazz
U2 are only as huge as they are because the Clash imploded and left a huge gap in this genre.

But, dammit - they rock.

2. You might find this interesting
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/050303

U2 drives me up the goddam wall, and has for years. I used to love their stuff, but now...and besides, I saw Bono at the Dem convention. He was no taller than my chest, and I am no tall person. So I can totally kicl his ass. :)

But the author above does make some good points.

What happens is, I'll be looking at something or I'll hear something and it will get all jumbled up, or sometimes I'm just a freak and comes out really weird.

But in my defense, I don't proof read ever, I do the spell check and it wanted to change that word, and I wasn't paying attention and I just clicked ok. And it came out as that word up there.

12. Ick no. They were pure punk in the beginning, but really
were interested in reggae (Police and Thieves and White Man in Hammersmith Palais). There was a definite fusion between punk and reggae. Then, the Clash discovered rap and funk (Magnificent Seven and Overpowered by Funk). Sandinista is full of jazz, funk and dub. They were definite pioneers and definitely not afraid to cross over.

The voices in your head are calling
Stop wasting your time, there’s nothing coming
Only a fool would think someone could save you

You don’t owe nothing, so boy get runnin’
It’s the best years of your life they want to steal
