Blue-Jay and I marched with the Commies on Saturday! Ask me anything!

No, we really did. We were lining up for the march in Chicago and I turned around and saw their long banner stretched out between two people behind us.

I turned to him and whispered, "Umm, honey, we're marching with the Commies!" We both just laughed.

We didn't stay with them for long because I was moving around getting pictures.

The other funny thing was the color guard. There's a group that always makes up a rag-tag band for the protest marches and this time they were joined by a color guard with green flags on long PVC tubes.

Somehow, we ended up next to them and they kept almost smacking us in the head. Finally, we tired of it and moved forward quickly to get away from them. When we turned around again, they were running to catch up, seemingly with us, but it was really the band.

BTW, my sweetie is famous now. :-)

That's the magic number media have been using for decades to describe protest gatherings. sometimes it's 5,000 per 1/2 block!
