Groups and Forums are the best place to talk politics on DU
I just made a post on a thoughtful discussion of a serious issue I was having with a DUer in the Illinois forum and I realized something. I much prefer talking about politics and issues in the special forums and groups sections of DU.

In GD you get more people who are just inflammatory and insulting. You also get a lot of shallow arguments and countless "me too" posts with people ganging up on other posters. The groups are slower because there are less people, but I like that. You can have a reasonable discussion there.

I was just thinking about that, so that's my plug DU Groups and the State and issue forums. Anyone else feel the same way?
