3. No Windows command does it well.

You can do it from the DOS box with the following syntax (I think, it's been ages):

Dir c:/*fully resolved foldername path without these stupid asterisks* > list.txt /s

However, if your files exceed DOS's 8.3 naming notation, you'll get a bunch of tildes. ("~").

Maybe easier to Google "print file list" -- I've done this before and there are a number of freeware utilities.

4. You need to do a print screen
Got this from the Evil Empire's knowledge base:

To print a listing of files or folders, you can copy an image of a My Computer or Windows Explorer window to the Clipboard, paste it into an image editing or word processing program, and then print the image.

To create and print an image of a listing of files or folders using Microsoft Paint, follow these steps:

1. In My Computer or Windows Explorer, open the folder you want to print, and then press ALT+PRINT SCREEN to copy an image of the active window to the Clipboard.
2. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Paint.
3. On the Edit menu, click Paste, and then click Yes to display the image.
4. On the File menu, click Print.
NOTE: If there are more files or folders than can be displayed in the My Computer or Windows Explorer window (in other words, you must scroll to see all the files or folders), you must scroll to view these files, and then repeat steps 1-4.

6. Thank you for doing my dirty work for me.
:evilfrown:

I was hoping someone would have known that off the top of their head. I could have done a Google on it. It was awfully nice of you to research it for me. Thank you!

5. In XP, if you go to my computer
and then local disk, and then documents and settings, you will see a favorites icon. You can highlight which folder you want to work with and sent it to my documents. I don't know how much messing around in word you can do with it though, I think it depends on which code was used to write it.

You might be better off to copy the contents into a word document.
