6. that's not the worst... the worst is "Edelweiss"
on a monotone phone at the loudest possible setting over and over and over and over ("well, she's not picking up, she must be ignoring me. let me just keep trying. she'll HAVE to pick up....) :grr:

I was at a bookstore yesterday when the cell phone of the person next to me in line suddenly starting blaring "Ride of the Valkyries." I jumped a little and then glared at her, and she looked at me like I was the one with the problem.

5. OK, here's a related peeve which IMO is even worse:
people talking on cell phones with a speaker phone option, so everyone in the room gets to hear why they can't pick up there daughter until 4:30!!! :grr: :grr:
