The Y-wing squadron commander from the raid on the Imperial moon base in book 1 or 2 of the X-wing series (don't remember the name).

He made the entire series. Ask yourself, why did we sit through two lousy movies and will do so with the third? Because we want to know Darth's story. That says it all. We're watching sub-par sci-fi movies because we want to know Darth's story.

39. I liked General Veers because he was a tough Armored Cavalry
commander; great stuff for this former tanker. I liked and pitied Captain Needa. He seemed like a fairly okay guy overall; just a schlub who joined the Imperial Navy for the career perks and because home was a one-stoplight hellhole (I don't know, I'm just making this up!) The simple, horrible resignation he displays when the Falcon disappears just makes me ache a little.
