Everyone I went to high school with is now dead
OK, not everyone, but like 25 or 30 people! We're having our 20th reunion this year and they put a list of the dearly departed on the reunion website and it's so scary! We're not even 40 yet!

What on earth could they have died from? Tuberculosis? Scurvy?

Geez. It's really creeping me out.

I think there were about that many on my 20th. Maybe a little less. How big was your class?

7. 600 or so...
I guess that's not a very big percentage. But I was hoping to see some of them again and now that doesn't seem possible.

11. Well that'll make for a small party now, won't it?
MUCH easier, and less people to impress.

Cancer cluster by any chance?

13. Quite a few in my class of '63 died in Viet Nam.
Don't have any idea who's left. (Or who's right, for that matter.)

14. I graduated in 1982,
my class started losing them to car wrecks less than a week later, a couple of my friends in Beirut, a murder-suicide less than a year later.

I never went to any reunions.
