Remember when it took an act of Congress to get kids to clean their rooms?

Motor trend tested the Hummer and said it would take an act of congress to tip it over. The other day, I posted about a road rage incident in which, yes, a Hummer tipped over.

It would take an act of congress to get that darn cat out of the tree.

It would take an act of congress to end war.

It would take an act of congress to end poverty.

It would take an act of congress to cure diseases.

Maybe this is a sectarian dream, Congress acts like God and the fundies are applauding.

We've been waiting eleven years for this republican congress to do something for America, so don't stop now that you've decided to act. Hope we see kitty's out of trees, troops returning form ended wars, with prosperity and good health outbreaks. And if you hold your breath waiting, Uncle Sam will use an act of congress to revive you when you realize that the acts stop where the buck should have. With such actors in congress, the acts will keep coming.
