Poll question: Sometimes I feel that I'm complicated enough
Although I travelled the world, dabbled in foreign foods and languages, made love to exotic women, drove fast cars and explored my sensitive and artistic side, I feel that there's something missing... Complexity.

The type of complexity that designs scientific principles and arranges organizational hierarchies. I've always found that a bit confusing.

I prefer things to be pretty much straight forward and uncomplicated.

A couple of things I blame for this; spending the last 22 years in the miltary which is perfect for that mindset and my lack of a willingness to expand my educational horizons.

Of course, I could be full of crap... But the lack of sucess in my endeavors to find a new job that fits my own particular oeurve make me ponder my situation.

I'm not much of a subject matter expert on the types of jobs with tremendous skill sets that pay upwards to $50,000 a year.

Shit, at this point, I'll take a $30,000 job.

So what do you guys think?

1. What did you do in the military?
You've probably told us, but I forgot. What skills do you bring to a prospective employer?

2. Personnel Administrator
Unfortunately, Human Resources is almost completely unrelated on the outside.

Most of the work I did dealt with office management and program management.

It's a cold hard world

3. There might be civilian jobs that could use your skills
I'd offer you advise, but I've been having a hard enough time trying to get a better job. As I understand it, your success often has to do with knowing people and how you present your resume and yourself for the interview.
