9. You beat me to it wtmusic !
Ridin' the storm out was the very first rock-n-roll album I ever had. 157 Riverside Avenue was my all time favorite on that record. I also like Flying Turkey Trot. I always thought that Gary Richwrath (? not sure of the spelling there) never got as much credit as he deserved.
He was one great guitarist.

I think I remeber seeing a VH1 behind the music recently about REO and unfortunately it appears that Gary has been battling alcoholism for many years and this lead to his departure from the band. I also think there artistic differences between him and Kevin Cronan.

I mean I liked the music that they put out during the 80's, but it was very poppy/bubblegummy and did not hold a candle to their earlier music from the 70's. I think Kevin was just trying to cash in during a time when hard rock was seeing declining profitability.

Still spot on...

Mortgage people you crawl to your homes
Your security lies in your bed of white foam
You act concerned but then why turn away
When a lady was raped on your doorstep today
Well your blacks are cryin’ but your back is still turned
And your freaks are dyin’ but your back is still turned
You better stop your hidin or your country will burn
The time has come for you my friend
To all this ugliness we must put an end
Before we leave we must make a stand, oh yeah......

I belive the first time I saw them was with Joe Walsh and Barnstorm and if I remember right, that was Carbondale IL. Damn they were young.

5. I chose other, because there was no "None of the above" choice...
What a waste of petrochemicals for all of those LP's. Listed high on my list of "Most Unpleasant Sounds" -(see below)

KMLA's most unpleasant sounds list:

1. Fingernails on a chalkboard
2. REO Speedwagon
3. Bootleg copy of the audio of Anna Nicole's liposuction.
