WANTED - Young, well-built men aged 18 to 30 to slaughter...

No, not Bush's latest Army recruitment campaign, but what passes for a personal ad in Germany.....

"A German man who confessed to killing and eating a man he met through a website for cannibals has been charged with murder, prosecutors have said.

The 41-year-old suspect, identified as Armin M, is alleged to have killed the 43-year-old victim in March 2001...He then carved up and froze portions of the man's flesh, later eating some of it, prosecutors allege.

The crime was apparently carried out with the victim's full consent...

The suspect and victim...met in early 2001, after Armin M is said to have posted a personal ad on several websites and in chatrooms asking for "young, well-built men aged 18 to 30 to slaughter"...

The victim...went to Armin M's home, where the pair reportedly agreed to cut off his penis.

The victim was then allegedly stabbed to death - still apparently with his approval - and cut into pieces.

Started an ongoing cannibalism debate in Germany.
The tabloids are loving it.
The BBC Story is lacking a few gory details, for example that there was a dedicated "slaughtering room" in the cannibal's house. Or, that they blanched the cut-off member and ate it together. And the "chat rooms" were part of a cannibal webring (sic!).

Prosecutor says suspected cannibal driven by desire



A suspected cannibal has been charged with murder in Kassel. On Thursday federal prosecutor Hans-Manfred Jung said the accused, Arnim M., had been driven by sexual desire to "cut up a person and eat him afterwards" and would be tried for murder instead of assisted suicide, despite having received the victim's consent to go through with the killing. The 41-year-old Arnim M. confessed to killing and partially eating the 43-year-old Berliner Bernd Jürgen B. with his permission on March 10, 2001 in Rotenburg in the state of Hesse. Arnim M. first cut off his victim's penis, which the two men ate together. He then stabbed Bernd Jürgen B.'s in the throat, cut up the corpse and stored it in a freezer. Arnim B. recorded the events on a video camera. It is still unclear whether the video will be shown in court. Bernd Jürgen B. had responded to an Internet ad that Armin M. had circulated in order to find someone to kill and cut up
