5. I was the opposite
Voted Rome, but liked Greece.

Although I like the idea of living in Pre-colony America. Not so much ancient but simple.

4. I would want to live at the time the Vedas were composed
in India. I would want to hear the people who wrote the book on tolerance and acceptance.

6. perhaps a better question would be:
if you were a slave which ancient civilization

AND

if you were a free man which ancient civilization

AND

if you were a land owner or of nobility, which ancient civilization

because at least in ancient Rome you could buy or earn your freedom as a slave, however freedmen could not set their own prices on goods and services (without connections, blackmail and bribery), but nobles had it pretty good too, provided you weren't spouting heresy like "not owning slaves" or some such. Also, chances are if you were well placed, you had running water and public facilities. However, your civilization was perpetually at war both far and near.

Greece - not so nice except perhaps philosophically, but great theatre and some decent beaches.

I'm not sure - I'd probably pick a different one for each situation.

Romans had orgies. I like my head on my shoulders not being kicked around in some sacrificial ball court ceremony.
