What the hell am I?
What do you call someone who believes in God, but not religion? I'm not an Atheist, obviously, but I'm not Agnostic because I don't doubt the existence of God. I'm tired of trying to explain it without a nifty label. Any ideas?

2. A theist maybe? Or does that imply religion? (I think it just implies
a belief in god).

4. Try this:
"I'm a humanist who believes there is a rich spiritual life within all of us, and I choose not to have my belief in God defiled by those who would make a corporation out of my personal religious beliefs."

Maybe I should have posted my response under yours!

I agree, man. I love the whole Humanist philosophy~ Defining yourself by your beliefs, not what everyone else believes this time around.

9. I guess "deist" comes closest, but dammit....
You'd think the English language could spare just one word for people like me! I usually say I'm "not religious", but then I get the inevitable "You're an atheist"? Then I have to go into a detailed explanation. It's not that I think people have a right to know what my beliefs are, but it's just soooo easy to say "I'm a Catholic, or "I'm a Buddhist"....

8. Does it really matter? You are what you are. :^) I use a label but
only because it makes it easier from a distance for people to figure me out on some level: Liberal/Progressive Christian:

11. You are Michael!
The arrogant angel who will eventually snuff us out. You show contempt for religion, yet will follow orders from the Sky Chief.

It seems fairly obvious.

Then again you could be from the Alheim, the council of the Gods from which the word Elohim comes. Sorry about giving up the council of the other 11 gods by name. Regrets to Behemoth and Leviathan.

Are these characters from a futuristic movie or something? No, no! Don't tell me! I'm afraid you'll tell me to read something in the bible and I don't have one.

I am a Humanist~ I am really close to an atheist, but I am not yet ready to say for sure, "No higher power exists."
I was pointed to Humanism, and absolutely love it. You define yourself.

Good luck~
