Do any DU musicians write songs that sound like Oasis?
I started on some in the mid-nineties, but now I look back on that and chuckle to myself at this feeble attempt. Best to let the best be the best. Certainly Paul McCartney did when he said on television, "I like Oasis", after having written some songs that sound similar.

9. None at all.
The only medications I'm on are for my underactive thyroid, blood pressure, and heart rhythm (I don't think I really need the last one).

16. He's got the mind of a crackhead. But without having to use crack
to achieve it. It's quite remarkable, actually.

13. Not as many?
*cough-cough* Bullshit.

More albums. More number one hits. More music awards. More fans. A bigger legacy. Oasis aren't fit to play a boy-scout jamboree. Your dissembling is psychopathic.

27. Here.
Me and some of my friends use this word, "titanico", to mean a personal accomplishment. Like I lost a few pounds on my diet in the past week; that's a titanico. I snuck up on the Metra train and got the name of the conductor who threw my brother off the train; that's a titanico.

It is a weak man who tries to diminish another's titanicoes through weak rumors and murmuring. That is what we saw this summer with the so-called self-proclaimed "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" when they were trying to diminish John Kerry's titanicoes of winning medals during the Viet Nam War. Does anyone really think these guys are heroic or something for this partisan sniping, or that they themselves deserve recognition of a titanico for it?

And yet we see the same sort of behaviour from the Beatlist propagandists and rock establishment traditionalists, attempts to diminish the titanicoes that Oasis has earned and are still earning. Oasis is the John Kerry of rock music, and the Beatlists are the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.

8. What the fuck is it with you and Oasis?
GIVE IT A FUCKING REST. Yes, I like Oasis, but there's no way IN HELL that they are even close to the Beatles. And why the fuck would anyone want to sound like Oasis?

:argh:

...that you get red in the face and break your computer. Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff.

23. LOL
I cowrote a song with a friend and writer signed to the same publisher as me in Nashville last fall. Afterwards, he told someone we had written an Oasis song. I don't hear it, but that's his take on it.
