3. I don't think he will be safe on the streets
of Chicago. On CBS they said there are Chicago cops guarding his home. He was asked not to report to work today.


Wow....

Not the way I would like to end up on the front of the Trib that's for sure.

5. Local NBC affiliate interviewed Blagoevich.
He said (to paraphrase) that as governor, he would recommend the witness protection program. As governer and a lifelong Cubs fan, there was no pardon forthcoming.

And even if he was, he shouldn't have. As Governor, it's his job to put this in perspective--it's a game. A guy shouldn't have to live his life in fear over this.
