The mid-afternoon crash
Every day, after lunch, I feel like I could fall over from exhaustion. I can't focus on my job, I have a hard time keeping my eyes open, and all I want to do is take a nap.

I know I need to get more exercise in my life and I am waiting for that sports bra I ordered a while back....

Any other suggestions?

3. I never drink coffee
or tea.

Once in a while, I'll have a Snapple ice tea, but not with any regularity.

4. Caff helps a lot
and as drugs go, it's minimally dangerous.

When I was low-carbing I found I had that a lot less, also. I have the same problem, but I can get it in the AM too. I just don't enough sleep, is what it is.

7. More protein at lunch? Less sugar?..Less sugar at breakfast.

I think this kind of cycle has to do with sugar metabolism. Have more of a high protein breakfast. Most people have a donut or danish for breakfast and then at 3PM or so they want to take a nap.

8. I did have 1/2 of a bagel for breakfast
but I also had a protein drink.

For lunch I had a slice of pizza. (oh, and (ahem) a cookie.)

9. Your breakfast seems adequate. Maybe you need to go outside
Edited on Thu Mar-24-05 02:30 PM by BrklynLiberal
and get some fresh air at lunchtime. Take a nice walk each day. Too much inside air?
EDIT: Do you work in front of a computer? Maybe your eyes are just tired from the screen?
