The woman interviewing me had a voice like Tom Waits. As I have been suffering all week from what may be a terminal sinus infection, my mood and otherwise boundless humor *cough* were at low ebb. I answered, politely, several insurance industry related questions directed to the end user regarding service, satisfaction, yada, yada. She then asked me what single criteria I used to finally select my current provider. I said that my wife and I researched which insurance corporation gave the least to the Republican Party and went with them. The woman began laughing uncontrollably, cackling like an asthmatic rasp file. Eventually she queried me on other criteria, like service, reputation, corporate image, asking me to rate importance on a scale of 1 to 10. I finally said that I wouldn't give a pair of fetid dingo's kidneys about those criteria. All that mattered was how much they gave to Little Hitler. The last thing she said was that they were forbidden to discuss politics with interviewees but that I had made her laugh and that she was going to "throw this on a couple of people here", and thanked me. I almost felt better.
