I love bankers' holidays here in the south ....

My commute is so lovely on days like Good Friday - Usually, the Atlanta area traffic is a nightmare, but on days like this? SMOOTH SAILING!!!!!!

I do so love these holidays. And soon the circus, I mean Legislature, will recess and then shortly after that GA State will be out........oh happy days!!!!!

I live in Woodstock and work in Marietta. In the mornings, I sail right in. In the afternoons, though, I hit some backups on 575. I hoping you're right and today the traffic will be light because you know what Friday traffic is like in the Atlanta area.

I hate Friday night traffic too ... especially when I'm near any I-85 ramps. I had to search long and hard to find a route to take me to work without using GA 20 - that highway is really, really, really nasty during rush hour (25 mile drive - 90 minute commute). I take a round-about route that avoids that highway (I end up on Buford Dam Road - not real bad scenery there along Lake Lanier, but I do have to pass a huge landfill that stinks something awful in the summertime) - adds about 3 miles to my drive, but it takes only 45-50 minutes.
