Stop what you're doing and listen to WING. Right now!!!
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 11:24 AM by progmom

http://wingtunes.com

When I was first exposed to the immense talent of Wing, I immediately...I mean immediately ordered her CDs from her website. There is a brilliance - albeit unintentional - that can never be duplicated.

I understand she was a featured performer on the latest episode of South Park, and for this I am jubilant.

Everyone must share in the joy that is Wing. Samples available on her site.

You will not be sorry.

edited to add: this Wing is in no way affiliated with Paul McCartney.

did you get scolded, or spanked?
i have felt like a bull in a china shop lately. it was nice to be about with the rough boys last night. not a big fuckload of brains about but... what's that line from high fidelity...
"easier, sunnier". no worries, no holding back. i'm sort of tired of the frazzeledness i've seen about me lately. i've lost one of my kid gloves somewhere.

The promise of a spanking? Not really. I find the dumb ones annoying, but they are easily managed. You better find your glove. You'll need it for when you sing and dance in the lounge. Is that going to be tonight?

reliably find the new crush. he's managed to put himself in my path latety.
but i don't know if i'd do anything about it. he seems to have me on a pedestal of some sort. it's not good for me, i can't do that. he's still a little scared of me, and who knows, maybe he ought to be.

35. don't say that, it's a sore spot at the moment.........
i was just talking about it with someone i dated a bit. he fessed up about being scared to death of me at first. it's feeling a little thematic right now in light of current happenings.
i don't want to dumb myself down or be needy. needy is a tough one for me. it's just the last few years i could ever ask anyone for any help. it took a huge crises too.
i'm telling you, my father ruined me, i should not have been holding court on a barstool when i was eight. okay, so i loved it. i could have used slightly more balanced parenting i guess.

40. it was much preferable to going back to the lord of the flies thing going
on at home. in this day in age, they would have arrested my dad, but he was a good man, and we both needed a break from the rest of them. too many people in a tiny house. yeah, as soon as i could cross the street, i'd head over to joe's on wed and friday, when my dad had his alotted hour and a half of peace.
i need to knock the stars out of someones eyes. make them snap out of it and see me. not the idea they've formulated. how do i do that?

in the water. that's the skinny from my men friends. i actually did at one point ask him to save me from someone who i was concerned was going to buttonhole me on my way back from the ladies room. you should have seen how excited he was to be given a little chore.
it's so strange to me that stuff like that works. i don't understand it. i'm clueless, really.
but the matt's insist this is t#1 on the scary parade. also, apparently, when my hair looks too good.

term. maybe it gives him something to do with his hands, and dispel the nervousness. i dunno. it freaked me out that every guy is telling me the same thing. is this what they mean by a purpose driven life? and don't the married ones constantly bitch about getting ordered around? i wish i could be that devious to fake needy. but i doubt it'll happen.

17. She has so much heart it's unreal
I thought for sure that Wing was just a contrivance, and no way could that be a real person singing when I watched the show. I thought it was someone in the studio singing with their voice sped up. At the end of the show they gave her website out and I went there out of curiosity.

I can't explain why or how, but there really is something about her singing that's great just because it's so totally unique. I can't think of anyone else offhand whose pitch and timing are both off, and yet I would still say that about. It's just the wierdest thing.... Someone on the South Park website compared her voice to birdsong. That's one way to think of it, I suppose.
