1. I still don't see why anyone with PS2 would want it. Sure it's thinner,
but the orginal really didn't take up that much space. :hi:

4. also
I think its a tougher sale because Sony forced everyone in the states to buy the bundle (psp, 32 MB card, spriderman 2 movie on proprietary UMD disc).

11. completely different
I think the machines have completely different purposes. The psp is a little thing with a screen that you can carry and use anywhere (hence the portable) - like a gameboy.

The PS2 has no battery, no screen, and is intended to be used in some stationary location.

It's like comparing a desktop computer and a PDA - they're just different animals.

2. give it a few months
it has real potential, but its too expensive and not much is out for it yet, when they release advent children and the final fantasy 7 first person shooter sales will pick up

6. I didn't start hearing about it until maybe like two weeks ago.
Maybe it took all the teenage kids by surprise and they hadn't saved up for it.

7. Interesting
They were hyping it - saying they would sell out. I just checked Ebay and they are selling below retail there which I think means the demand isn't there.

13. I was in GameStop yesterday
A guy came in looking for one and the clerk told him that 40% of the PSPs are going back defective. Dead pixels and one of the buttons is too close to the screen and doesn't work properly.

14. Yeah, the button too close to the screen has been a big issue
But Sony, the morons, don't even seem to care. One of the higher-ups there compared altering th PSP so that the button wasn't too close to the screen would be like ltering the Mona Lisa (or something to that effect). Arrogant morons.
