This recalls the scene where a character is eating french fries at a diner and almost eats a severed finger.

11. Here's a link in Seattle.
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002219031_finger25.html

A woman bit into a partial finger served in a bowl of chili at a Wendy's restaurant, leading authorities to a fingerprint database to determine who lost the digit.

The incident occurred Tuesday night at a San Jose Wendy's restaurant and left the customer ill and distraught, said Joy Alexiou, a spokeswoman for the Santa Clara County Health Department.

"She was so emotionally upset once she found out what it was," Alexiou said. "She was vomiting."

Employees at the Wendy's outlet were asked to show investigators their fingers after the Tuesday night incident. All employees' digits were accounted for, officials said, adding that the finger may have come from a food-processing plant that supplies the company.

13. I don't think I can every eat at Wendy's again
first I find a big piece of glass in my taco salad now they find a human finger. When I contacted my Health Dept on restaurant safety in my state to complain about the glass she was not surprised about Wendy's she indicated they have been inspected before because of food complaints.

15. WTF !!!
Employees at the Wendy's outlet were asked to show investigators their fingers after the Tuesday night incident. All employees' digits were accounted for, officials said, adding that the finger may have come from a food-processing plant that supplies the company.

Asked to show their fingers!!! Wha...! "Well, yes, I did cut off my finger earlier, but I didn't want to tell the supervisor for fear I'd be sent home. I need the money!" Are we really to a point in this country where workers will ignore finger amputations so they won't miss time at work?

18. Well, if you have an accident at work, you get drug tested
Guess someone might not be able to pass the test.

Seriously though, if you cut off your finger, could you keep it quiet? I couldn't!
