The eggs are boiling...
Just took them off the heat and put the cover on.

We'll dye them tomorrow morning, before my gigs. I couldn't find PAAS 9-color dyes anywhere, which is a major bummer!

My favorite colors are pink, robins-egg blue, and that nice blue-green which can't be found anywhere else.

3. You know what's weird?
Before the water came to a simmer, there was a funny "peeping" sound that came from the pan. It made me do a double take!

That little squeal is just air leaking from the porous shell. I always color up a half dozen or so and put them in the fridge because I just like boiled eggs.

2. I have to say
that I do not miss this holiday. For some reason this one was always such a hassle and I got caught hiding eggs one year by one of my boys. I don't miss this one at all, except the dying of the eggs, that was always fun.

11. The new dye set we bought
was getting very messy so I got some rubber gloves out and I pretended I was on CSI. So then I made a blue egg and wrote CSI on the egg. It's really cool!

we just got the 9 color Paas Dyes. Too bad, I could have beamed you one over!

I wasn't sure if my son still wanted to do the eggs... we don't usually eat many of them, but I guess he's not too old yet.

I am surely enjoying eating the malted milk eggs, though.

Mr. GoG found the nine-color dye tonight. My hero! We'll do them tomorrow before my rehearsal. I'm so glad...Easter just isn't the same without pink eggs!
