10. It's a Split Decision: George Carlin and Billy Connolly.
Carlin's got the longevity and the observational humor; Connolly's the one who brings the tears of laughter to my eyes.

16. I like many different style comedians, but I appreciate the work
Edited on Fri Mar-25-05 07:21 PM by mtnester
it takes to put on a funny, "clean" show.

That said, I like Sinbad, Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, and Chris Rock (who has become what Eddie Murphy always wanted to be...hysterically funny). Steve Martin was also a great hoot to watch, but for sheer exhaustion factor, you just cannot beat Robin Williams.

I also like Rita Rudner, Elaine Boozler, and Ellen Degeneres.

Roseanne Barr was really never all that funy, to me anyway.

20. Robin Williams, as well
He cracks me up, and he can do so many different styles SO well. I saw an interview with him, though, and I have to say.... I wouldn't want to live in his head.

Their humor was not complicated. It was just human, and it was great.
