14. Same Here
Thought I might catch part of one or two if the Sox are tearing up the Marlins.

2. Okay
I guess I'm the only one happy to see the Marlins here. They're doing it this time with only a fraction of the salary of the other clubs. I think RedSox/Marlins could be appealing, but I agree Yankees/Marlins could be disastrous for FOX. Not that I feel sorry to see a Murdoch enterprise suffer. :)

4. Marlins-Yankees would be perfect, coz I despise NY
Everybody in the country wants the Yankees and no one wants the Marlins, so we would just LOVE to be play the part of the dismissed underdog once again.

5. Indeed: That would be BO-ring
In the event of such a world series, which is looking increasingly likely, I plan to spend the evenings next week watching rented videotapes from past World Series.

If it's Florida vs. the Evil Empire, as far as I am concerned, America has no World Series.

And it could end up being...just another year in a flash...who cares ya know?
If it was CUbs/Sox it'd be the series you tell your kids about

22. I'm with you BSG.
And it looks like we're halfway to that fate worse than death. The damn Skankees make me want to puke and the Marlins? Who cares?

I can't begin to imagine what Chicago will be like tonight....

7. It certainly will be boring, won't it
Yankees again...yawn. Marlins...meh. I would love to see a Cubs/Sox matchup, but I wouldn't know who to pull for. Cubs/Yankees or Marlins/Sox would be cool too. But not Marlins/Yankees.

12. Hey, now. The Marlins are an exciting young team.
I don't much care to root for teams from Florida, but I'll make an exception for this bunch.

18. The Fish are an exciting team
They just don't have a national and committed following. When I was at the games in Miami, there was a very sizeable Cubs contingent. I doubt there's more than a thousands Marlins fans in Chicago tonight.

The ratings will be poor because there isn't regional diversity. The Subway Series, as hyped as it was, did badly in the ratings. Although it can be argued that it wasn't a good series, as the Yankees swept. Anaheim/San Francisco last year had too much of a west coast concentration.

However, I think it will end up being Boston/Florida. It won't draw great ratings, but having the RedSox involved might make it bearable.

21. The Sox would help with the ratings, I would think.
The old "can they finally do it" that has drawn folks to watch the Cubs and Sox would still be there. And those two teams would make for one heck of a Series, I think.
