History can never be made by one man,
we must smash this one quickly.

History is made only by the masses of the people, this is clear.

Even a, cursory glance at the fallacious presentation of history by the American capitalist system, will demonstrate just this.

Take George Washington, as bad as he is put him in the middle of Valley Forge, by himself, surrounded by the British, he can do nothing.

Take Martin Luther King as righteous as he is Put him in the middle of Birmingham by himself, speaking out against racism He would be lynched.

But you take this same King, you take this same Washington, put them in Valley Forge, put them in Alabama surround them with thousands of people who have the same ideas they do willing to make those ideas reality and the situation changes drastically

(I believe this was originally said by Malcolm X, but I first heard it as sampled by Boogie Down Productions)

1. History can turn on one man or woman
anyone who believes other really hasn't looked closely at history at all. Yes it does takes thousands to change history but events can be changed for better or for worse by the decisions or lack of made by one person.

2. Without others, those individuals would not be remembered.
There are individuals that become recognized leaders of movements and events in history, but without backing and without others who are willing to support, follow, and lend assistance, they fade into obscurity.

If Gandhi had not had thousands of people willing to stand with him in protest, he would have been just another attorney in a British territory.

If Medgar Evers had not had hundreds or thousands of supporters and followers, he would have been just another southern preacher harrassed by the KKK.

History is not made by individuals, although the history books would have you believe it. History is, indeed, made by the masses. Without the masses of forgotten individuals throughout history, the figures you recognize as historically significant would have been nothing.

3. You have to look att he other side of the equation
Without those leaders the masses of people either would not exist or be nothing more than a mob without cause or reason.
