Poll question: Which DVD set should I return?
Choice A - the movie is half-crap but has a numebr of very ncie set pieces and the extras do look rather good... (hurry up June, Insurrection will be out!)

Choice B - Every sci-fi geek friend I have says to watch it. I did see the trailer and was floored by how great it was.

Choice C - LONGTIME fan of this hilarious series, until Will Smith fired Janet Hubert-Whitten in favor of Daphne Whatshernamewhohadnograceorcharmatall...

1. rent em from netflix next time
I don't buy anything these days without watching it first.

Star Trek 1st contact: Probably the best star trek since star trek II, the wrath of Kahn IMHO. Worth keeping if it was cheap. Insurrection sucked.

The Incredibles: Good but not as imminently re-watchable as other pixar films. Finding Nemo was 10x better. Cheeze ball ripoff of the fantastic four.

Fresh Prince: Dude. I'm not much of a fan of Will Smith, so i'm not the one to ask about this one. If you love the show, keep. If not, take it back.

2. Wonder Woman and Lost in Space I will be netflixing... they
don't have the rewatchability factor though the nostalgia is nice.

6. I don't dupe DVDs. For one thing, dual layer doesn't xfer to single layer
very nicely.

Another is it's not legal.

I do have a DVD burner, but I merely archive my VHS and Laserdiscs to DVD format. Nothing illegal there as long as I keep the originals. (hell, I still own some of my original Amiga programs as I do play them from time to time. It's stupid how the system works, but that's how it works.)

I certainly see your point and I dont' like how draconian the industry is, but compared to other industries, DVDs usually offer a lot for the price.
