Why do my kids...
Act like they are starving to death...they just can't wait for food..."Mommy, I'm gonna barf if I don't eat"...But, when I make the food, they never finish it??

3. ROTFL
My parents actually bought that "I'm gonna barf" routine once. Only once though. My son will claim to be too weak to lift a finger, but he's fine to chase his sister down the hall!

4. Don't worry about it.
Leaving food on the plate isn't a bad thing. Better that than having them clean every plate in sight and wind up with a weight problem.

5. I'm not worried
It's annoying! They act as though they are about to die...then don't eat what they're given. It's not like I give them too much, either.

What prompted this - My eleven year old son wanted eggs for lunch. I made him two eggs...no cheese, nothing, just plain eggs. He left half an agg on the plate.

6. taking lessons from the cats, more like it
every morning, must have new food or will die. Never mind that there is food in the dish, nice dry won't spoil food.

Then one of them will barf at least once a week or so.

glad I don't have carpet any more

7. ROTFLMAO
Every morning I tell my son to feed the cats. "WHY??? They HAVE food!!" Yes dear, but they won't eat until you give them fresh food!

Mine don't barf too much, thankfully!

10. Tell him to rattle the dish/bowl around
That might fool them. Honest.

8. When mine were little they ate something about every two hours.
They ate at regular meal times, and then some kind of snack, usually healthy, about every two hours or so. They didn't eat a lot at any one time and were never over weight. Hubby didn't understand because he grew up with three meals, no snacks. When we left the house or traveled, I always had small supplies of healthy stuff. And they were really hungry. It just didn't take a lot to tide them over. :-)

And they have good eating habits now....except for perhaps the soft drinks. When they were growing up their choices were juice, milk or water.

9. I was like that too
Turns out I'm borderline hypoglycemic...If I don't do that, I get woozy.

My kids get virtually no soft drinks...My daughter only drinks milk and water...won't drink juices, although she does eat fruits and veggies. My son won't go near a fruit or veggie...but will drink the juices.

11. I have a 14 year old daughter
who is a tiny little thing. I do think she needs to eat every few hours and she never eats a full dinner. Maybe they are doing it right and the rest us of aren't.
