7. I can relate...

I got the flu twice last month and my immune system has been whacko since then. I even bought some Abreva from Costco, and all that did was spread the sores. I had them in both nostrils, inside my mouth, and on my lips. Spouse hasn't kissed me in a month :-(

What I have done was eat a lot of plain yogurt and taken acidophilus pills, and an occasional cup of echinacea tea. So I am slowly recovering. Take care.

8. I have had them after a cold or allergies

I think it is just caused by so much moisture in the nose, then drying and rubbing. It seemed like a zit in my nose. It will go away, but it is icky when you have it.

4. I KNOW its not funny - but I can't help but laugh. I've had fever blister

in my nose and it hurt so bad that my eyes would water. But don't panic. It will go away on its own.

I've heard that L-lysine is supposed to be effective at preventing fever blisters/cold sores. You can find L-lysine supplements at most health food shops.
