Time for another "WHO AM I" - You guys love this game
The rules:

- Up to three Yes on No questions per post

- Post as many as you like

- Thread has a FIFTY post limit

Some hints:

- You have three questions to use per post. Anything less than that is a waste

- A lot of you guys will ask the same question. Read the other posts, clues are there

- If you ask bullshit questions, you're fucking it up for everyone else

- If you know what the career path is don't ask unrelated questions

- You should look for these basic clues: Sex, Race, Alive or Dead, Nationality, Occupation, Published or Featured works

Edited on Sun Mar-27-05 12:49 AM by MrScorpio
Born Lee Jun Fan in San Francisco back in 1940

Although he's known for his action movies he made the bulk of his movies (14) during the 1950s

He died in 1973 from cerebral edema

when I think of Bruce Lee, I think early 1970s, late 1960s.
I was thinking white american with drama and action films who had a cult following. Aside from Dean and John Wayne, Bogart, etc who were all ruled out, I could not think of any one.

Amazing guy, Lee. Died way too young.

because you said his films were from the 50s. You said no to 60s. All the American films were in the 70s. I mean, how many people have seen these:

Zao zhi dang cu wo bu jia (1956)
Zha dian na fu (1956)
Er nu zhai (1955)
... aka We Owe It to Our Children (Hong Kong: English title)
Ai xia ji (1955)
... aka Love Part 2 (Hong Kong: English title)
Gu er xing (1955)
Gu xing xue lei (1955)
Ci mu lei (1953)
... aka A Mother's Tears (Hong Kong: English title)
Ku hai ming deng (1953)
... aka The Guiding Light (Hong Kong: English title)
Fu zhi guo (1953)
... aka Blame it on Father (Hong Kong: English title)
... aka It's Father's Fault (USA)
Qian wan ren jia (1953)
Wei lou chun xiao (1953)
... aka In the Face of Demolition (Hong Kong: English title)
Ren zhi cu (1951)
... aka Infancy (Hong Kong: English title)
... aka The Birth of Mankind (literal English title)
Xi lu xiang (1950) (as Lee Siu Lung)
... aka My Son, Ah Chung (USA)
... aka The Kid

Who the fuck can even read the title?

although I was thrown off because I thought Lee was born in Hong Kong (a common misperception), did most of his work in the 60s and 70s

I am glad Mr. Scorpio came up with a real puzzler. Very clever on his part

72. he was born in SF, moved to hong kong and then moved back
This opening paragraph on that site is misleading:

In 1959 a short, skinny, bespectacled 18-year-old kid from Hong Kong traveled to America and declared himself to be John Wayne, James Dean, Charles Atlas and the guy who kicked your butt in junior high. In an America where the Chinese were still stereotyped as meek house servants and railroad workers, Bruce Lee was all steely sinew, threatening stare and cocky, pointed finger--a Clark Kent who didn't need to change outfits. He was the redeemer, not only for the Chinese but for all the geeks and dorks and pimpled teenage masses that washed up at the theaters to see his action movies. He was David, with spin-kicks and flying leaps more captivating than any slingshot
