I drank more than I've ever drank in my life last night...
so why am I drinking a beer right now? But seriously I went out last night to formally celebrate my 21st birthday. I had the best time EVER!! My aunts who are only about 10 years older than me wanted me to do my birthday up big, so they took me to this bar to see a band that they know. Well it was great because they were friends with all the band members and I got to do shots with the lead singer and the guitarist kept giving me vodka.

I thought I was completely sober until the end of the second set, then I tried to walk and started to do that drunk swagger. It was a great night, I didn't puke but I had a bit of a headache in the morning. It cleared up after I ate a greasy pork roll and cheese sandwich at the Edison diner.

On final tally my drinks last night included...5 beers, 3 shots of Southern Comfort, and I'm guessing somewhere in the ballpark of 20oz of straight Grey Goose! I had so much fun!!! They were playing in Bellmar (about 30 min from me) tonight but no one was up for going back out, I would have gone. So now I'm just chilling at home enjoying a beer and working on a term paper.

3. Mmmm, Jersey diners.
I'm in the DC area, which is sorely lacking in diners and decent bagel joints. Happy 21st!

16. YES!!
northern virginia is definitely lacking as far as real diners go (i'd have to say i'm spoiled being just across the delaware from south jersey) but there's a place in adams morgan that i really like a few doors down from "tryst"

7. Thanks...
I didn't get to really enjoy myself on my actual b-day so this was a perfect end to a stressful week. Even today was great, I veged out on the couch and watched like 9 episodes of Arrested Development on DVD (a birthday present from my dad)

13. arrrrghhh
blah! i had my 21st today, but due to the way my college works, i'm in the end of my spring break, therefore NO ONE is around, including my fraternity brothers, so it was just me and one other person at the bar, and another brother of mine that worked there. oh well... it was still fun. i'm ending up with a shot of jaeger, a shot of jack, a shot of jameson, a pint of yuengling, a pint of guiness, two glasses of pinot grigio, a bottle of yuengling back at the House, and then a bottle of honey brown. i'm capping off tonight with a gin and tonic, so all in all, i spent it as best as i could despite the absence of everyone.

...it was just more low-key than i thought. but thank you for the welcome message, i really appreciate it after just lurking for a few months. i saw you mentioned jersey diners, i go to drexel, so i definitely have partaken in the 13-page garden state menus. are you in so. jerz or what?
*On Edit: i just realized you said "edison diner" which would possibly place you up north
