I need a date
With my wife. It's been ages. We used to go out almost every weekend and catch a live band and have a few beers. I bet it's been at least a year since we've done that. So, should I ask her out? What do you guys think? I could write her an e-mail with a little note that says "Wanna go do somethin'?" with a little check yes/no box nex to it?

1. A year! You'd BETTER go out.
Don't let complacency take over. Have fun, and send her the email... but say "Wanna go out on a date?" and suggest a place.

2. Yeah but "wanna do somethin'?"
Leaves more options open. ;)

6. Try a little more romance up front
It's more likely to lead to your happy ending.

If you must ask her by email - very impersonal media - can't you come up with something better than "...wanna do something?"

Couldn't you just put your arms around her, and whisper in her ear, "We haven't had a date in forever, let's go out on (pick a day) and have some fun."

7. Yep.... that's what I was trying to get across...
the other stuff would follow after a romantic date. Going straight for the other stuff all the time is what killed a couple of my relationships... you've got to keep the romance alive.

8. You know this is a joke thread right?
She and I were just talkin' about this last night. I said, "so what do you wanna do?" She said, "sumthin'" It was just funny.

5. Yeah
I think that classifies as romantic. I say go for it. I'd do stuff like that if I had a "wife". I can't have one though. Not that anybody is interested. Anyhow, I say it's a great idea and she'll probably love it.

9. Yeah, there's this one band we used to go see all the time
They have a gig next weekend, so I think we'll get a sitter and go. WooHoo! A night out!!!
