2. Yes, actually
However, I figured out a long time ago that faith and religion have very little to do with each other. This conclusion applies only to me, unless you're reached it on your own through independent means, and is in no way meant to frost regular attendees of the service of their choice.

3. I voted "not sure" but that's not really accurate
I'm agnostic so I believe that it's impossible to know whether God exists or not with the current evidence (or lack thereof) that we have.

6. I believe in Jack Squat these days!
Behold yee the power of Lord Squat! I am a heathen! Actually, I'm still rather spiritual (always have been), but I just don't think of anything in "religious" terms anymore. Religion (in my experiences anyway) attempts to hard to breed conformity, I never did conformity too well, and it kind of made me a bit  to attempt it.

I may head back to Unitarian-land when my life settles down again, but right now nothingness and time to think is what I need more. :)

7. if there did exist an omnipotent creator of the universe
who runs everything, I don't think we little humans would have any doubt about it. Why would an all-powerful being need to be so egotisical that his number one commandment is to demand to be worshiped? And why would such a being be jealous? The one true god is worried about all the other gods? Which apparently don't exist but the being that would have created them is so concerned he has to commit genocide to prove it.

None of this religion crap makes ANY sense to me.

12. Just Because A God....
....didn't dictate the 10 commandments and/or what's in the bible (or any other religious book) doesn't preclude there being a god. Those things could of been, and probably were, written by people who, like our current day religious fascists, were trying to force others to conform to their beliefs.

11. I Voted "Not Sure" But...
...I find it hard to believe that life began as an accident. One thing I am sure of is that if there is a god (God?) (s)he is far different that what the right wing, whack-o, nut case, religious extremest fanatics believe in.

17. Yeah but if life is an accident
it sure eliminates a lot of the questions that have no rational answer.

15. The simple answer would be "yes" -
Edited on Sun Mar-27-05 12:45 PM by Madrone
But, in the context of a christian god (which is the immediate connotation that springs to mind when we hear the word GOD) my answer would be an emphatic no.

I do not belive in the christian projection of and personification of god - but I do believe there is a force bigger than ourselves that IS - and it is perfect, and resides in us all.

18. Define God.
If we're talking about the god that is now synonymous with shrub's federal government, I have to say no.

19. No,
I wasted enoug time in my University years thinking about this. Which is when you should spend time thinking about it, and then get on with Real Life.

I don't believe in the Easter bunny either. This was the first year I didn't get an easter basket
I mean, I'm only 23... I still like getting Cadbury eggs and chocolate mammals effigies to mutilate.

22. I believe in "the force"
Not so much like Star Wars, but somewhat. I think everybody has an energy, good or bad, and that all things have energy to them. I would like to believe in life after death, or that "no energy dies, it just changes", but I am not sure.

I used to be Christian, now I consider myself pretty much a Buddhist.

26. Yes with an *
I do not beleive that the creator is or has ever been in a human image or is partial to humanity. IMHO its a higher source of energy and intellegence. Humanity just molded him/her/it into themselves.
