This morning on the CD player...
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 'The Requiem'. 2 years ago, I treated myself on Easter to a performance of this by the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall. Beautiful!

Even atheists like myself are moved to tears by this. Great music is great music.

I will play some of my favorite death metal later to balance the ticket. :P

4. I'm kind of stuck on Porcupine Tree's "Deadwing", myself...
But "Frances" is high up on the list to listen to next. How is it?

5. It's pretty incredible..
Now, I'm not saying it's something everybody's gonna get into, but if you're the kind of person who likes Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter", or tool's "Third Eye" (i.e. longer, more "progressive" songs, with multiple movements, etc..), it's definitely worth checking out..

6. Mars Volta? Geez..
I remember when they used to be called "Dream Theater" back in the 80's. Jazz fusion metal. Seriously, if you like these guys, check out some Dream Theater.

7. Michael McDonald -- Motown
Not for purists. The songs are re-arranged, any many include synthesizer. But the essence of the songs is intact, and the sound is fantastic. McDonald has some soul!
