Them (essentially their pat answer): "Quit playing partisan politics! We're at war! You must support the President, because the President is the troops, and if you don't support the President, then you're with the terrorists"

I hate to say this, but the GOP has the incredible capacity for self destruction. I hate that because I can't take credit for their demise, damn, that just pisses me off!

Could they be any more hypocritical?

1) frame the argument. never allow your opponent to outline the params. change the params to suit the current conditions.

2) Take advantage of memory hole.

3) Use projection. If you've done something wrong, project this on your opponent.

These are pretty much standard tactics, and as long as we accept these rules, we'll never win, because it's impossible to win against a playing field controlled by the opposing team.
