I just found the damndest website while doing some research. It really does say that.

My search engine pulled up this page and I found myself reading that McCarthy really wasn't such a bad guy after all. So I knocked the "mccarth3.htm" off the end of the URL to find out who would post something like that and pulled up this page.

Jeez Louise.

Is this the common Cold Warrior view of peace advocates, do you think? Or is this guy just particularly cracked?

has always been a centerpiece of PNAC's Orwellian plans.

Usually from the same people who claim all people in the military are conservatives and that liberals have done nothing to protect and defend the United States and believe the road to Hell is paved with Liberals.

If the road to Hell were indeed paved with liberals, then the only people walking on it would be conservatives!

Scary thing is, there's not a doubt in my mind that people like the guy who made this website wouldn't have the slightest qualms about making that metaphor into a literal truth: shooting all of us in the street, or (as I believe the Coultergeist once suggested) sending us all to "re-education camps."

To get a government job years ago you had to sign a form indicating that you were never a member of what were called "Communist front" organizations. These organizations were invariably progressive, so the idea of social progress suggested unAmericanism. I don't think Communism was the enemy so much as social progressives. Communism wasn't threatening, but social progress certainly is.

The Communist party USA was controlled and funded from Moscow. It is a fact, and can be verified. Check the Mitrokhin Archive (in a book under that name) of KGB files smuggled out of Russia by a former agent named Mitrokhin. Most communist parties in the west were also attached directly to the Comintern.
Up untill the invasion of Czechoslovakia, these groups were almost entirely subordinate to the Soviet Government and to Soviet interests. Read George Orwell's 'Homage to catalonia' about European Communist Parties. He talks how they are less socialist and more pro-soviet, always following the Moscow line.

There was a real danger of KGB or other intelligence infiltration into Government agencies. This isn't some John bircher crackpot myth--It happened all the time and the CPUSA was a tool of Soviet Intelligence and the Comintern.

He slams Limbaugh, the Christian Coalition, and Gingrich-- putting them on the same list as the ACLU and the Maryknollers.

This kinda stuff really cracks me up. So completely off the wall it seems like a parody of itself.
