Mailed In My Tax Payment on Saturday; Check Cleared on Monday
Unbelievably fast. Word of advice: Don't mail in your payment if you cannot cover the check. They will cash it ASAP.

3. I don't think there is any "float" time on any checks anymore.

4. No float time at all. Once the check is deposited and that bank runs it
through the machine, it comes out of your account. The receiving bank no longer send the checks to the Fed to then be sent to your bank. The $$ get withdrawn as soon as the check is deposited into the payee's account.

Saturday to Monday? WOW that is some fast bureaucracy! They sure take a lot longer if they owe you money! Took over 7 weeks for our refund to be deposited electronically.

7. But, of course, they can take their sweet time making a refund.
